Is communication easier with a mother or a father?

It depends on the issue. When I have a personal or emotional issue like, I am upset or angry with someone; I tend to talk to my mother. She always has a story to tell about how she has dealt with a similar situation and it makes me feel better to know I am not alone. I am confident that my mother is always going to side with me in any conflict. I go to my mother when I am not usually looking for an objective answer but I want to feel validated in a situation. I also turn to my mother when I need any type of mothering advice, childcare advice or just a shoulder to cry on.

When it I have a question or need advice on something that requires a more objective and logical explanation like, what is the best career or financial option, I always talk to my Dad. If I have a question about auto mechanics, wood working, or other "manly type" subjects my father's opinion is the obvious choice. I always consult my father when I need advice on dealing with conflict with my husband. He always knows best because he understands the way my husband thinks. We all know that saying "Women marry someone like their father". I am proud to admit this is true for me in some ways.

I honestly don't know how I would have made it through life without being able to openly communicate with both my mother and my father. Mothers are best at emotional support while dads will give you your options laid out in black and white. I can't say one is better then the other, they actually compliment one another and probably without even knowing it. If one parent doesn't have the answer then the other one is sure to have it.

It is in all in God's plan. It is unhealthy for any person to only think emotionally or to only think logically. To think purely emotionally would make any person a weeping gushy wreck of a person and a purely logical person would be cold hard and callous. Two parents with different ideas and ways of dealing with things equals a well rounded child that can see all sides of an issue. It makes a child capable of feeling a situation out emotionally and logically for themselves and helps them make up their own mind instead of following the crowd or "popular belief".

Is communication easier with a mother or a father? My answer honestly would have to be both.
