Achieving democracy in all the Middle East countries

If what we are calling democracy is the lack of discipline in our people; we will not have many Middle East countries lining up to be enrolled. Our media is showing Muslim nations life in America with all its gory statistics. One in four of our teenage daughters have a sexually transmitted disease. We can call it freedom, but it comes with too much disgrace and irreverence to be appealing to Islamic people.

Like America, the Middle East countries have a divided population; some want the fashions and freedom to do what they want without being cautioned by religious leaders. The idea of democracy is more exciting than the reality of it. The people of the region have had time to see what democracy means when a large part of their population wants to follow the ways God sent to their prophet and others are happy to make money by setting up bars and movie and music tape shops and other money making ventures..

God has warned all nations against going after riches and luxuries. All major religions have it written through their prophets. We used to fight godless communism, now we are fighting for godless democracy. Jesus is clear that " a nation divided against itself shall not stand." That is true whether it is democracy or any other form of government. Our efforts at prosperity are poisoning our air, land, water, food and our bodies. We have exported that and now the world is at death's door from self destruction of one kind or another. Our people young and old are on medication. We have no power to export our policies or lifestyles.

When we take a good look at our nation and its problems, we will see a need for solutions not yet spoken before the public. God has solutions for world problems we created by ignoring His wisdom. When we accept God's solutions, then we can export our government style and we will have unity of purpose.

It must be a cause of great laughter for Muslim nations to watch our elections. In the age of instant international communications, the same candidates going from state to state for months on end, saying the same thing they can say on a television program does not fit the pattern of wisdom of the candidate or the people. Spending multiplied millions of dollars to say the same thing only tells me and others that the candidates do not know how to use money wisely. Should we want these people making government expenditures and budgets using our tax dollars?

Look at the simplicity of the elections in Muslim nations. They put up the names; tell what direction they want to take the nation, a few details and it is over. If the person gets elected and does a good job, they stay, if not, they are ousted. Confusion comes in when we bring in "democracy".

To put new leaders in your nation every four to eight years is like getting a new father every four to eight years; you can not build a bond between the people or leaders of other governments or areas. That is why God kept leaders in office and transferred the leadership to the family that grew with the father.

The scripture says, "They that forsake the law (of God), praise the wicked." When we want what is right before God, others will flock to it.
