Looks, money or character? For me, character would be my choice if I had to choose. It is also my current situation. While seeing how goods looks can open doors, looks alone might allow that same door to slam in your face if you aren't paying attention. Looks don't automatically come with brains! And looks don't last forever. When they are gone, you had better have plenty of money if you don't have appealing character. Money is a necessity in life...a man made source of evil. Character on the other hand, speaks loud and clear who a person is...or isn't.
While there are exceptions to every situation, I think a person's good looks can never truly allow that person to know an accurate sense of achievement. Many people overlook other flaws in good looking people. I am sure we all know someone who got a promotion over an average looking person. Common, don't say that doesn't happen. And people with money can buy anything and maybe anyone if they have enough money. People want money and many will do just about anything to get it...so it's a playground for those who have it and those who want it. It is said that money is the root of all evil. Not all who seek it have bad character, but money seems to have power to make people behave badly at times. There are also people who have more money than they could ever spend in ten lifetimes. They donate to charitable causes and do good in the world, but they must need to scrutinize who is in their life and why.
People with character...assuming it is good character, find a way to look their best and make the money they need. Along with character often comes normal self esteem. This person knows who they are and what they want. They do things for the right reasons, have consciences for their behaviors and stand up for what they believe in. They are people that other people trust and look up to for guidance and reassurance. And many are fulfilled with "riches" that life offers other than money i.e family, friends, hobbies, giving to others and volunteering.
So, if you are a real looker, I hope you have good character too, as your looks will fade with age. And if you have tons of money, perhaps if you also have good looks, they will get you by for a while if you lost your fortune. If not, you need to work on achieving a "good" character because the character you become when looks and fortune are lost might not be so desirable!
