There are few cars that say the three P's better than BMW does: Performance, Pretige, and Power! A BMW 7 series does! BMW has a "niche" on the word "performance." Only Audi comes close, except that is doesn't have "the name...." So when you're looking to spend $100,000, this car is it. There are three models: Base 750, Alpina B7, and the 760. Like most other cars in this class, they have what's known as "short or long wheel" base versions. The 750 competes with: Audi A8, Jaguar XJ, MBZ S-class, and last but not least, the Lexus LS460. The 760 can only be intimated by the MBZ S-600, but even the Benz doesn't come close. That's because BMW has cornered the word "Performance" like no car has before it, or since. The 750 is under "6 figures." The 760 on the other hand is close to $130,000.00...although the 760 will be droped for the 2009 model year; which will introduce a totally redesigned 7 series to the world....

Like I recently said. This car's performance is awesome! The 750 is powered by a 4.8 V8 producing 360 horsepowers/360 torque. The 760 on the other hand is "a totally different animal!" It has a V12 with 438 horsepowers and a "whooping" 444 pounds of torque. The Alpina is extremely generous on torque, 516 to be exact. 20 inch wheels helps this baby remain firm on the road. Behind the wheel this car feels wonderful. It's nimble and quick, and the performance is excellent. Never lets you forget you're sitting behind the wheel of a BMW, even for a car of this size. Like Audi, BMW is very famous for safety. These cars are built for performance, and the word safety goes "hand in hand." Body Leans are at a minimal when driving this car. Airbags abound everywhere in this car. 0-60 in 6.06 seconds on the I and LI models with 14.61 seconds 1/4 mile going almost 96 miles an hour. Of course it gets even better than this with 760.

Plenty of colors to choose from. Fuel tank capacity is 23.3 gallons. Fuel economy is 15 city/23 highway, all and all not bad for this car. Weighs close to 4600 pounds (German cars are heavy). Great front and rear legroom. 41 front and 38 rear. Better than the Audi. Another thing that's great in this car is: "Trunk space!" If you didn't know it was the Performance sports car that it is, you'd never guess it judging from it's trunk size. "18 feet" to be exact. That's Cadillac/Lincoln territory. Wheelbase is 117 on the "i" version. BMW's have great wheelbases...this helps the car feel stable, yet comfortable enough not to always remind you that you're driving a "sports car...."
