Parents try to prepare their children for the future and adulthood, but the problem is that sometimes the poor no matter how hard they try to break the cycle of poverty and teach their children that education is the key to getting out of poverty, sometimes things happen in life and the child loses their self-esteem and everything their parents taught them goes out the window. Whatever trauma happens if they don't get counseling they will stay in the cycle of poverty. Whether anyone realizes it or not a good sense of self-esteem is the key to breaking the cycle for the simple fact is they will believe they can finish high school, can go to college, and have a good paying job at the end of all the schooling. They won't have to get help from the Department of Social Services or any other Government Agency. These places certainly won't let you do any thing that will help you get a head of the game for a time. Nope as soon as you get a job or a better paying job they terminate their services or reduce it so much that you may as well not have the job. They should at least give the client a grace period to make sure the situation doesn't change in a negative way so that the client doesn't end up back to square one.
But finances are not the only thing that we struggle with in life. There is also family some of us struggle to be a part of family that will love us and nurture us and take care of us and be there when we need them in or out of a crisis. Some are not so lucky. Some children grow up in one parent homes, some in abusive homes, some in poor homes, moderate homes, and wealthy homes, and list can go on. We all know that not all homes are loving. In my opinion love is the base that holds the family together, without love then there is not much else there is that is truly important.
The people born into a weathly family generally know what it is to truly struggle through life. Somethings can't be fixed so therefore we will never end the struggle through life. Therefore there will always be poverty and violence and crime. Those are a few more true struggles in life.
