On silver lined shores, searching for shimmering gold.
Only to find fools pyrite, knowing we had it all once.
Pictures remind me of better days,
when life was so complete.
Smiles turn to tear filled streams,
cold as stone on the outside now.
Thoughts race that leave me blind, to everything around me.
If only I could know, what you think when you see these pictures.
The scents, they linger of night lit paths,
the sounds of broken song.
Sung through hair brush microphones,
How I long to hear it.
To taste your sweet glossed lips,
and feel the gentle touch of your soft hands.
Just to smile and see you smile back,
knowing it's a smile of joy to be near me.
I know I shouldn't feel this, you tell it to my heart.
While you're in there, squeeze it just once for me.
So I can feel what it's like for my heart to beat for you again.

I miss you
