I am not a Christian. I was brought up a Hindu, and have no desire to change my religion. I am more interested in spirituality or getting in touch with my inner being by growing through inner turmoils
and sufferings.
Christ was one of the greatest spiritual leaders of our times. Anyone who is a true believer in Christ will eventually reach salvation. However, there were and still are many more great souls to lead the human race to the path of enlightenment. We can all aspire to be Christlike sages for we are all divine incarnations.
Christ was a great man. He suffered for the sins of his people and died on the cross for us all. He showed by example the power of love and the way to the Heavenly Father, but so did many other prophets like Buddha, Krishna, Mahavira, just to name a few.
Modern day Christianity has brought with it the New Testament, which is a revised version from the Old Testament. A time period of Christ's life has been blocked out, and within this time it is said he had gone to India, to practice spiritual instruction under the holy men there.
Modern day Christianity has brainwashed it's worshipers into believing what they tell them. Many of these people are more concerned about reaching heaven and enjoying sensual pleasures once they have left the world than finding Jesus in their hearts and searching for the true meaning of their beings. Many of these people totally shun other religions and regard them as the path to hell, which if a person had any idea of the laws of the universe they would come to understand that the universe operates with cause and effect, not by what you are taught to
believe in.
Even if an individual does not worship any prophet, they can still gain salvation by being in touch with their inner being, asking the universe questions and getting something unique out of the experience. What we need to understand,is that there are many ways of reaching salvation and growing spiritually. There are many different people in the world who prefer to follow different paths and the good thing about life is that, we do get a chance to choose what we would like for ourselves.
Even if we examine the way in which Jesus is worshiped by different sects of Christians, for example compare Baptists and Catholics, the first has a very modern, upbeat and new way of worshiping Jesus whereas the latter is more conservative and sticks to rigid doctrines, traditional forms of worship, but nevertheless even though both forms of worship is different if done with a sincere and pure heart and soul it will lead to same salvation. Just like that,
if an individual uses a different method or path to connect with their divinity, it will ultimately lead to the same salvation.
Believing in Christ and having holy communion with him is indeed a divine experience and if done sincerely will lead to salvation but we as a society must never be one sided about something that is so vast and limitless, or else we will never see true enlightenment for ourselves.
