I had a flurry of thoughts when referencing my top ten "life to do" list. The challenging part is dissecting each dream and pulling out the top ten. Given careful thought, I made a self discovery; I wanted to make sure that the top ten included the things that I not only wanted, but had a real possibility of achieving before my life ended. It leaves me inspired and hopeful that I can do these things:
1. An African Safari with a knowledgeable tour guide, who knows the areas we explore well, and can show us the best places to view the animals in their natural habitat.
2. Take a tour of the Holy Land. I have always yearned to go and experience landmarks such as the "magic" Grotto, where it is believed that the waters there have healing powers due to the presence of Mary. Experiencing Bethlehem would be the ultimate dream come true.
3. Create a foundation for homeless people in different cities with a goal to feed as many people as possible on a DAILY basis. As rich and advanced a nation like that America, there should not be any excuses for anyone to go without food.
4. Visit the Congo (with body guard) to observe and study the gorillas. I have always wanted to do this for as long as I can remember.
5. Get my children's book that I wrote and illustrated, published.
6. Help our children grow into responsible, confident adults. Instill in them good morals and high standards. Always know that God comes first.
7. Be able to financially care for my parents when they can no longer be independent-preventing them from going into a nursing home.
8. Own a second house in Jackson, Wyoming.
9. To implement a program to better help those with depression; especially those who have become homeless and need medical treatment right away. A majority of homeless people suffer from some form of mental illness. I'd like to see them properly treated in hopes that they can get a chance to function in society again.
10. Continue being able to afford giving people in need surprises without them knowing who the kindness came from. Leaving them with a coffee shop gift card or anonymously sending over a prepaid meal to them is ultimately the best feeling in the world. My goal is to show them that people are caring and that there is always hope. This message is passed on through the patrons/employees as well.
Viewing my to do list, now that it's written out on paper, I can see that I better get going on some of these or I'll be either too old to do them or dead! Yes, some are harder than others, but if I want to obtain these, there are feasible ways to achieve them. Oh, and number eleven; become VISIBLE to one another and say hello' here and there.
