What is Salvia Divinorum?

A New Experiment

Having already written about Salvia Divinorum and it's effects, I felt compelled to correct my earlier article with what new information and actual experiences I have found since.

I wrote before about how I had obtained some Salvia from what I thought I considered a reputable source, and how it did absolutely nothing to me. I wrote at that time how I felt that the government was over hyping this stuff, and how since it didn't effect me, it must be harmless. I no longer feel that way.

When my article hit the internet, I was contacted by many a Salvia believer who told me that I was full of it. One in particular, who will forever remain anonymous, sent me the real deal, as he/she called it.

Yeah. Yeah. Skeptical, I accepted the package from this un named source. It held all of the same color coded packages that I had previously purchased from another source, along with all of the admonitions of care, blah, blah, blah. I listened to none of this nonsense as I repeated all of the steps that I had undertaken before, with the caveat, that , just in case, I mixed some of the 'Green' with some of the 'Purple'. I didn't want to make the mistake of having the back of my head come off unexpectedly.

Too late. As I lit the pipe, inhaling the fully flamed smoke, I held it in for about 15 seconds before the entire back of my head did explode. At first, I had no idea of what was taking place, until my knees hit the floor, and I realized deep inside me that I was in for it now. Truer words have never been thought by anyone.

I struggled to regain my footing as the entire world disintegrated into a series of chopped slices of what I thought reality used to be, but it was in vain. I crawled towards the place where the front door to my apartment used to be, defiantly trying to remain calm as the sweat burst from every pore. As the entire world decided to take a break and leave me trapped between my front door entrance and the hallway, groaning and mumbling incoherently, I thought I heard music back in my apartment.

I swiveled in my completely, utterly incoherent state towards the sound, hitting every wall and melting into them with colors, words, screams and music swirling illogically in cadence to a martial beat. As I found my living room, I began to laugh hysterically. I never did leave my place, I only thought I had. During this 5 or 10 minute out of body experience with the 'Purple' variety of Salvia, I truly believed that time had stood
