Which is better: Downloading software or buying it on CD?

Is it actually better to just download it from your local ISP internet? or do you need to take shopping trip to circut city to buy it? Well, the truth is, both are fine but remember downloading it has some flaws also. Buying any kind of software online is a fast growing economy in the Internet. But what happens when after you buy it online; something suddenly happened to the software which caused damage to it? now this is the problem I am also thinking about. You see, everyday I read huge amounts of articles about computer technology and I read about things like this and it mostly tells that you would need to buy the software online again! It does sound scary here because this is a waste of money. So if you are a good computer technician, you would (if you had $2000-3000) you would buy a computer that can handle problems like these.

Here are some reasons that you might need some really expensive computer:

First, they come equipped with the latest video drivers, hard drives, and many other hardware. If you have old video drivers, then it will definitely cause problems for you to shop online. Internet connection also matters in this case.

If you have a bad or slow connection, it will take forever to download software online. but besides all this, there is a good side to it. Some software is free and some companies could decide to sell its software for FREE and you could get special offers that are only available online. But here is a tip: MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. Then you have the second option: Buying it on CD. From my personal opinion, I think this option is not as good as the other one because when you buy something, it could come to damaged, no data on disk at all, or if something bad happened to the CD, it will never let you install the software again. You might say that it's ridiculous because this stuff never happened to you but the truth is that it does happen. Another thing about it is that what if it's on a different Operating System? In most places, almost 95% of software is intended for Windows. If you have Apple computer and you go to circut city, you are going to find only few software for the system. Apple is thinking smart and always letting its customers buy it's products online. Well, that's how most people prefer it. It's easier also for lazy people.

I can say to you that the most complicated thing about buying software is choosing the right one and filling out your credit card number. Most people don't have credit cards and therefore they can't buy anything online. Credit cards have became more popular than writing checks.

But the whole idea of this topic is you buy what suites you. You either download it or just buy it. I think both are neutral.
