The healing powers of crystals

Crystals have many practical uses, healing being only one of many. It is vital to remember that everything in the universe is made of and transmits energy. All energy contains vibration, therefore making the principle of crystal healing feasible. It has been scientifically proven that energy can be transformed by other energy. One example of energy transformation is the way that sun's electromagnetic radiation energy transforms one set of chemicals to another, during a plants' photosynthesis.

In terms of energy, crystals have the natural ability to focus, amplify, transmit, receive and balance energy. They are used in many commercial applications including computer peripherals, industrial instrumentation, oil drilling, geothermal, commercial space, LAN/WAN, optical networks, process controls, telecommunications and wireless products. It is not imperative to understand how it all works, because in reality to understand the principles of energy would mean that a person would need to have advanced scientific knowledge.

The use of crystals for healing is not a New Age fad. Their use for healing purposes have been traced back to the times of the ancient Greeks. To put this into perspective, ancient Greek civilization dates back to at least 1200 B.C. when the Oracle of Delphi was constructed. The concept of energy healing has not been scientifically proven and this fact makes it very difficult for some people to give credence to it. Keep in mind that while it has not been absolutely proven that it has not been completely disproven either. It is scientifically proven though that everything is made of energy and that energy does affect energy.

With these facts in mind it is not so far-fetched to consider that crystals can be used to bring about healing in the human body. Our thoughts consist of energy which can be measured by looking at a contrast MRI. We have all seen evidence of this on television programs which show different parts of the brain lighting up on the screen when confronted with various types of stimulus. Given the fact that crystals have the natural ability to focus, amplify, transmit, receive and balance energy it all starts to make sense. By being in contact with the crystal and focusing thought energy into it, the crystal then focuses that energy and serves as a conduit to send this transformed energy back into the body.

While not saying that we can do away with medical science by using crystals, it is worth considering that we do have the ability to aid healing in our bodies with the use of energy. It is becoming more popular in the medical community to use alternative forms of healing as an adjunct to traditional treatment. There is evidence of this in the fact that some hospitals now have Reiki practitioners on staff, and that some physicians will refer their patients to a acupuncture practitioner to help the patient with pain issues. As time goes by we are seeing more and more of what used to be thought of as hocus pocus being accepted by the mainstream. It isn't a matter of magical thinking, it is humanity learning to live with and utilize the natural laws of the universe.
