MANAGING CHILD CARE

DAY CARE FEES:

Cost of day care is sky rocketing and still it is very hard to find a flexible child care provider. So some people end up getting two different providers, and the cost for Saturday is time and a half . Chicago area day care are charging $225.00 a week for one infant. Few other states do not have day care so expensive. Get a child subsidy if your income allows.

Holding the baby

Hold your child for a short period of time. Love him talk to him but let him be next to you in a baby seat or on the sofa next to you in a comfortable position, as in case you hold the baby too long when he is with you, the baby will like to be held again in the arms of care giver next day. She usually does not have the extra time to hold the baby and then , child starts to cry. This is a very difficult situation for the child and for the child care provider. This is something very important to keep in mind.

LIFE TIME HEALTHY HABITS:

For the sake of child give him a life time habit when you starts giving him food for the first time give him vegetables and cereal only. Because if child starts taking sweet food jars, he will ask for sweet all the time and will never get used to vegetables, might even stop liking formula bottle.

BUILDING STRONG CHARACTER FOR LIFE:

When you have a toddler, do not ask him too many things about the child care provider too often, as he will get to know why mother is asking for it so many times. He might like to take advantage and start telling you wrong stories. Ask him indirectly.

WHEN IT IS TIME TO CHANGE THE DAY CARE

If because of moving , or any other situation you have to move your child from the daycare, tell him that he has to go another day care. Provide him some incentives at home and at the new day care to be happy and adjust nicely.
