The questions of Filipino identity answered. How will you identify a person as Filipino?
If one has no idea about how to identify a Filipino, I can share with you some simple tips because I am a Filipino who was born and raised in the Philippines.

1. IDENTITY ONE. Let's start with the physical appearance. Filipinos have brown complexion, with an average height of 5" for women and 5"5 or more for men. Black hair, brown eyes, with an inch and one half average nose height. Has an average body built.

2. IDENTITY TWO. Very hospitable and friendly people. They are very good in entertaining their visitors to the extent of offering the last thing that they have just to make their visitors comfortable. They are very friendly and often spend time to socialize with friends sharing food and other things.

3. IDENTITY THREE. Filipinos have close family ties. Families and other relatives used to live near each other. There are some who stayed together in one roof, parents with their married children, grand parents and other relatives. They personally take care of their sick and old relatives. They are helping each other when they have problems.

4. IDENTITY FOUR. Filipinos spend a lot for celebrations like birthdays, weddings,anniversaries Christmas, Feasts of the Saints. They alloted portion of their savings to spend for these occasions. They will invite all their friends and relatives to join with them in the celebration. Relatives from far places purposely come for the occasion. This is the trademark of Filipinos.

5. IDENTITY FIVE. Filipinos are hard working people. They spend time for work when needed. They are willing to do overtime work even if sometimes they are not paid for it. They are devoted and responsible workers in their work place. They are resourceful and dependable.

6. IDENTITY SIX. Filipinos are conservative people. Ladies are very reserved and parents are over protective with their daughters. They don't want them to go out on a date without their permission and when they do, they will be accompanied with chaperons, usually sister or brother of the girl.

7. IDENTITY SEVEN. They are respectful people. They usually pay due respect to the older people
by addressing them politely or calling them Auntie, Uncle even if they are not related by blood
as long as they are older.

These are most common trademarks of Filipino identity.
