Poetry: Mistakes

by Stacy Jackson

Created on: March 19, 2008

I hope you will excuse me.
I truly beg your pardon.
I accidentally bumped your table
And toppled your open milk carton.

And by the way . . . did I mention?
It spilled into your purse.
When you see your soggy iPod,
I'm sure my name you will curse.

Oh, and FYI
You probably didn't see,
But my doggy Mr. Biggles
Lifted his leg and took a pee.

It's been divine to see you,
But I've really got to run.
Once you realize what else I did,
You may go grab your gun.
