Allergy is the defense reaction by immune system in the human body to some specific substances called Allergens. Allergens are found every where irrespective of a particular country. Allergies are mainly caused by air (pollen, dust, and smell), food (milk, eggs and other proteins) and contact with external source (weeds. grasses etc.) Mites, Nuts, Cosmetics, Drugs like Penicillin, Sulfa and many others drugs etc. Most of the allergens contain protein.
Allergies are encountered in pets also (dogs, cats) as often as in humans. The main difference between us and pets is that allergies in pets tend to cause skin conditions. Allergies can be hard to control and are chronic in nature. An early correct diagnosis along with proper therapy is desirable.

Smoking:
Though injurious to health, it saved me from skin allergy during 1972, when in Helsinki (Finland). I was taking anti allergy tablets for its control. Once I had to smoke a cigarette, at that time I was having allergic reaction. After smoking I felt relief. I tested five times and smoking controlled itching and rashes every time. I stopped the medicine and switched over to smoking. I smoked from 1972 to April, 1999. Now I do not smoke and there is no allergy too. I reported this effect of smoking to my doctor, he said may be allergy was due to nicotine deficiency.
It needs to be published in some medical journal as it is rare case and only one positive effect of smoking, but he never got time to publish.
