Like most computer users, I depend on effective antivirus tools to keep my computer running effectively and efficiently. For the past nine years, I have relied on Symantec Norton Antivirus products to protect my computers. I originally used Norton products because they were pre-installed on my machine. After using Norton for so long, I have come to seek out Norton Antivirus products because they work well.
Norton Antivirus 2008 is a computer program that can be installed by automatic download or CD. Once the program is installed, it protects computers from harmful viruses, worms, and spyware. Norton Antivirus 2008 also features rootkit detection, which finds and removes hidden threats. Included with the program is a one year subscription to automatic virus definition updates. This feature really comes in handy, since I visit a lot of Web sites that require me to log in. With the Identity Safe feature, all I have to do is set one password, sign in once a day, and the program fills in the log ins for me.
I also like the fact that Norton Antivirus 2008 works in the background. I don't have to stop what I'm doing to close pop up windows. Even better, when I'm scanning my system for threats, I can keep doing what
