Helium-Should the US adopt the Flat Tax Amendment?
If I did not know there is a better way, I would vote yes for the Flat Tax Amendment. We are making life a lot more difficult than it has to be. Our tax system is very difficult to work with; and it may sound irrelevant, but our founding fathers did not include an income tax in the founding documents. Life was simpler then. If something was needed, it was dealt with on the local level.
We think of ourselves as a free people, we don't remember what true freedom is. There was a time when there was no tax on anything. What would that do to our economy now? If there were no taxes stripping us of what we earn, it would be like a mega pay increase. For those who have not, it would be easier to get what they need. A lot of people would lose their jobs, but a lot of people are losing their jobs somewhere anyway and the burden is more difficult for those still working. There is still a greater freedom available.
It was difficult to see the freedom we lost when we were employed, had our car, at least a nice apartment, a spouse and children. We thought taxes were part of our government and culture. Then we promoted business to the point that we are polluting our air, land, water, food and our bodies. Now we are caught by our own success and subject to other nations for our very economic survival as we know it. This is not freedom
Now, perhaps we can see true freedom in a lifestyle that requires no taxation, similar to, yet even more free and independent than our founding fathers could see. It seems to be our only solution as we look at global warming, pollution, energy crisis, health costs, social security, poverty, etc. Employment never was to be the goal of life, yet that is where we went. It supplied the very essence of who we are. There is a greater freedom available.
All holy books tell us not to seek after riches. A retirement lifestyle provides us a greater freedom. Turning from employment, which was doing things only for money, to creating a garden paradise of fruit and nut trees, fruit bushes and berries, and vegetables is a satisfying pastime that creates security for us and future generations. It requires no taxation and it is not difficult to begin.
The social welfare system that our present taxes pay for is swallowed up in the abundance of food in a garden paradise. To take a poor person into your home and provide for them would mean you probably have another helper making your tasks even lighter. The families would live at home or close together. Elderly are easy to care for when you are home. Healthy foods, sunshine, enjoying what you are doing, being useful until the end of life, all contribute to the beauty of life and to a healthy long life. A garden paradise embraces the simplest mind and the most complex mind and fascinates both.
If you have concerns that water is not always available, know this, that God has promised rain in due season and abundant crops and healthy animals to those who obey His words see Leviticus 26, and other holy books. When you know Leviticus 26, you know the past, the present and the future.
The abundant life that God promises is found in a garden paradise of true freedom and no taxation. It is available now. The way is provided; all things are prepared to transform the world. Vote with your prayers, begin your garden paradise, and select a president that will bring it to pass. Money and taxing never were the solution; they were always the obstacle to true freedom and independence.
