The Patriot Act, Eminent Domain, Real ID, the North American Union, all slowly eating away at your freedoms, getting fat on your rights as an American. You may call it fascism, you may call it the police state, you may call it protection, but we can call it oppression. America is bleeding out her freedom faster and faster every day. This article will show you that the line between democracy and fascism, is the same line between freedom and security, and that line is getting thinner and thinner.
If you live near a border of the US, then you are familiar with road blocks, or check points, sponsored by your local agents of the Department of Homeland Security. How would you feel, if, on your way to work, you could get stopped at one of these check points, not once, not twice but randomly, every so often? They always ask, if you are a citizen, where you are going, and where you are coming from. This certainly leaves one asking the question "What country am I in again?" They use the excuse that they are looking for "terrorists" and illegal aliens, but they have been known to look through peoples trunks and they always look around inside the car. The law puts us all at risk. Did you know that you could be labeled an enemy combatant, and be jailed, investigated, interrogated, even tried, without access to our most basic rights as Americans. You get now lawyer and no access to evidence?[3] These laws alone deserve their own article, because of the scope of their anti-citizen stance. Even our police departments are looking more and more like military people, than civilian.

They are supposed to give you a fair market value for your property. Increasingly, courts are giving the government the authority to seize your land if it will serve "the public
