Personal toilet cleanliness

Most of the world cleans themselves with water after using the toilet. Like it or not, Americans are perceived as dirty and with good reason - most of us are when it comes to toilet hygiene. Don't be offended, however, a little adult potty training might be in order.

Toilet paper is not only an expensive habit it is both dirty and wasteful. While many people still like to dry themselves with a few sheets of toilet paper - toilet paper is not necessary when using water to clean yourself.

When it comes to daily personal hygiene water is nature's most essential element. Itching, irritation and discomfort can be greatly reduced with regular usage of water instead of abrasive paper. Hands down, water is healthier, more comfortable and much cleaner.

A hand-held spray system is easily used by the handicapped, elderly and children. Most systems are very easy to install and do not require a plumber. They are affordable, durable and widely available.
According to the a manufacturer of a popular bidet spray water system, "A bidet sprayer leaves women feeling clean and rejuvenated. Natural water cleansing is especially helpful during the normal course of menstruation and many women find its soothing properties can help alleviate the associated discomforts of constipation and irritation".

Hemorrhoid sufferers will find substantial relief from using a bidet spray system. The burning and itching often associated with hemorrhoids is greatly reduced within the first few days of use.

Apart from the superior physical cleanliness that a bidet sprayer offers many people believe that there is a spiritual component to maintaining good hygiene and removing all urine and waste. In fact, many of the worlds religions believe that filth from the toilet attracts evil or bad spirits. Others also believe that it will be a punishment in the grave for not having maintained good bathroom hygiene. Whatever the spiritual consequences or your own individual beliefs, it sure is nice to have clean underwear free of those nasty brown tracks.

For those who can afford it, a stand alone bidet is a real prestige item, but be careful navigating your bottom from the toilet to the bidet without at least one drip hitting the floor. Then again, most people who use a bidet still use toilet paper and only use the bidet as a final wash.

Many cultures who use water for bathroom hygiene and a hard and fast rule that is worth noting. The right hand is to be kept clean and the left hand is used for all dirty tasks. This
