The average American's thoughts revolve around money. Each person everyday thinks to themselves "Gosh, if I had all that money I know what I would do with it." The truth is everyone thinks they know what to do with it, until they have it. After that thought is over our minds automatically wander and we all turn to the land of Hollywood which serves the rich and famous. But now in days it is so hard to even keep a straight face anymore when more and more celebrities are being busted, pulled over, nailed for DUI's.

I have gathered a list of all the celebrities that have been stopped by police for driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Number one isn't really a shocker but Actor; Mel Gibson was arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department of Malibu, California at 2:36 in the morning for suspicion of DUI. He was pulled over for speeding in his 2006 Lexus where a Breathalyzer test was administered. The arrest report lists the time of arrest as 2:36AM and the time that he was booked was at 4:06AM. Can you believe this? Celebrities are in and out of jail in less than 5 hours. This is ridiculous.

Miss. Mischa Barton, character of the O.C. Hit television show was pulled over by West Hollywood, California Police. She was seen swerving between to lanes of traffic and failed to signal when making a turn. When police pulled her over, she was found to be in possession of alcohol and was an unlicensed driver at the time. I guess she is following in the foot steps of her 19 year old sister who has already been in rehab for some time.

Mr. Daniel Dae Kim who stars in another hit television show called Lost. He was pulled over and arrested for drunken driving around 3:30 am. He was only in jail for two hours. Daniel Dae Kim is now the fourth member of the Lost cast to be arrested.

Our next celebrity is a total disgrace. Lindsay Lohan, fresh out of (the funny farm) rehab crashed her car and was charged with DUI, even though her licensed was suspended and she was wearing an alcohol monitoring device. She was also found with cocaine in her pocket too.

The list of celebrities busted for DUI's goes on and on and on. An online forum post stated: "I don't get it, with millions of dollars in the bank, you can't afford cab fare?" I completely agree, people do not know what to do with their money. The safer way would just be to send a check to the local station without anyone getting hurt. But just because you are rich doesn't mean that the laws disappear. DUI laws exist for the safety of everyone. The message should be clear to everyone. Don't drink and drive. I can't stress it enough! If your state of mind is impaired don't drive or if you know that you are unfit to drive please stop and think and decide not to drive.
