The US military has said and done some things that still make us scratch our heads. On that list is the cover up of UFO sightings. Reports from educated respectable people have said that they have seen something in the sky. Our government is quick to disprove any incident. They tell us stories of what it could have been. At times they have even changed their statements, confusing anyone who tunes in. The question remains, why would our government cover up UFO sightings? There are plenty of reasons, many obvious.

What I find more scary than anything is the fact that it is not just America covering up UFO sightings. The entire world is trying to hide any notion that aliens do exist. We are told story after story trying to explain those little saucers and mysterious crop circles. The stories are at best ridiculous. I do not like the idea of my government hiding information like that. Humans have to keep advancing. We learn from our surroundings; it is how we came this far. If we do not have all the information how can we keep moving forward? There's a select few who know the entire truth, things we can only fathom. The government believes that only those select few should know the truth because then the whole situation is handled, at least for the time being. This is a bad move on man kinds part. Imagine if all the scientists were studying alien corpses and broken ships that the government may or may not have. We would be able to solve this mystery much faster in hopes of traveling to distant planets and meeting distant creatures.

Imagine one morning you wake up, perhaps getting ready for church. You turn on the radio and find out that there are UFO's for certain. They had landed and communicated with us. They tell us many things about our universe, and of our past. All of a sudden you don't feel like going to church any more. Suddenly you realize your religion was a fraud. Think of what that would do to the whole world? There are countries that would suffer complete chaos. So much of our lives and our history was based on the Catholic faith. To be disproved would be hard on a lot of people. If the government is afraid about a religious up roar, I say they need not be. I am not saying God doesn't exist, but for sake of argument in this case, I am assuming he doesn't. If this is the case then I believe man will be able to move on. Once again, we are a civilization that evolves. In the past we have believed in many different Gods. It is possible to pick up the pieces
