These are just a few in each category, but please make sure you find out what dosage you have to take before just treating yourself with any remedy. As some herbs are not good to take if your pregnant or breast feeding.
There are so many herbs and ways to administer them that it is good to seek advice first before just jumping off the deep end so to speak, as with all ailment if the symptoms persist for more than a few days then you should go to a doctor.
I love to use herbal remedies, it's a form of treatment I can enjoy as well being confident that I know what I am taking and that the side effects are minimum.I have been into herbal medicines for years and all my family take them too. We are registered at the local doctors surgery but never seem to have to go for any of the ailments like flu, headaches, sore throats or stress related illnesses as we take herbs instead.
I can also enjoy growing herbs in my garden and can pick and dry them for when I need the remedies. If you suffer from stress or anxiety like most of us do from time to time then here are a couple of my favourite herbal remedies for you to try.
A Calming Tea for the Nerves.
-
1 teaspoon of grated valerian root
1 teaspoon of dried mint.
Half a teaspoon of dried camomile.
Half a teaspoon of lavender flowers.
600ml ( 1 pint ) of boiling water.
Infuse the herbs in the water and leave for ten to fifteen minutes, strain the liquid and drink, this can be taken every day for three weeks and you will see an improvement. You can add a little honey to sweeten if you like.
A Tonic to help with Stress and Anxiety
-
1 teaspoon of fresh dandelion and nettle tops.
1 Teaspoon of fresh baccarat and borage leaves.
600ml (1 pint) of boiling water.#
Again seep the herbs in the water but only for five minutes this time, then sweeten with lemon and honey. I like the tea's as they do help to keep you relaxed and calm, they do take a little while to get used to the taste but the overall effect of the tea's will be very noticeable.
I hope you have enjoyed this review.
