My Father
My father called to me today
With nothing more to say
Than he misses me so much
Wishes he lived close to me
So he could hold me high
And toss me toward the sky
Like we did in yesteryear
His words recalled a time
He handed me a dime
To buy that candy bar
When he was out of work
It meant the world to me
He smiled for the world to see
Like he did in yesteryear
My father
Come take me
Fly me half way to the moon
My father
Please hold me
Why did you leave so soon?
When I had a fish on the line
His laugh recalled a time
We'd be in the middle of the stream
I'd struggle, then begin
To reel that darned fish in
Like we did in yesteryear
Then putting brakes on his truck
Sometimes took a lot of luck
He'd have me hold them tight
And I'd get tired after a while
His frown turned to a smile
Just like it did in yesteryear
My father
Come take me
Fly me half way to the moon
My father
Please hold me
Why did you leave so soon?

Verse 1. Ten years since you went away
Have you found any new friends
I'm still by Moonlight Bay
Well I thought I saw you
Love to ashes
After all this time, you bow your head and say
This love is now crumbled, no matter how you preyed
It is not gone,
by Amber Woods
It was a fantasy from the beginning
You were Romeo, I juliet
Love at first sight since we've met
But we knew
It wouldn't last
THIS RESTLESS HIGHWAY
everywhere I've been
it's hard to find a friend
with fate cast to the wind
once again
now it's another new
