Reflections: Days that never come back but stay forever

Have you ever looked back into your lifetime that has quickly passed by, and your left wishing you can go back and return to your youthful days, and realize this is not possible, and these were the days of the best, but you'll never get to live those kind of days again. I love life and I loved life as a child and youth, and I often think back to my youthful childhood days that were all lived in childlike and carefree ways. Life seemed so simple and relaxed, and no cares or responsibility that seems to always hold us adults back, and the time how slow it seemed to pass, but now I watch my days fly by, and all I can do is only sie. I know these days of my youth have past by forever, but I'll always be able to drift away in my memories that I have of the carefree and wonderful days of my youth that will always be here in my memories forever. I have a poem that I would love to share and it's title is Return to Youth, so drift away with me as we wonder back into my youthful and carefree days of my life.

Return to Youth:

Sometimes in my dreams I return to the days of my youth.
It is alwa'ys so peaceful and quiet there. Better than before.
The girls are so pretty and friendly; we smile and have fun.
The boys are so tough but fair. Win or lose we want more.

I lift heavy things, run fast; I am the envy of my peers.
Everything is larger than life. I forget the childhood jeers.
There isn't any crime. My friends would not be bad.
Now in my sunset years I write poetry of when I was a lad.

In the youth of my dreams the sun always shines so bright
. The people are friendly my thoughts are pleasant and light.
Not all of it was good the bad parts stay out of my dreams.
Poems about my youth are fitting to remember it seems.

My return to youth can be splendid or tearful.
It depends on what and how it 'is remembered.
I must remember to remember only the pleasant
People, places and childhood with my kindred.

I remember the hard work I do not remember the pain.
In my poetry I can return to my youth again and again.
I remember the pleasant rest when the hard work is done.
Most of the work on the farm was. done under a red hot sun.

After the hard work we seek rest trees and a gentle breeze.
We relax, rest, play and talk under the whispering trees.
The fall brings bright colors, warm days; rustling leaves.
The spring with blue skies, green grass, and fresh leaves.
