"My great companion and what he teaches me"
When no body is around but a sound of a voice that cheers me up when i am blue
We walk together to the park and seeing his smile always bring joy to my life
When there isn't much else to do
We look at each other to see who's the most silliest he always wins and knows why
To learn that we aren't the only one's that communicate
A friend indeed that has a heart just as i have one too
Licks my wounds and makes me whole again
A memory left with me the whole day through
He wonders when i am gone or where I've been
For what i don't know they know that too
I can't hold anything back that my friend doesn't already know
He waits by the door tell the time i get back home
then time for us to go
I would go anywhere with him if i could even china and Rome
I wouldn't even hesitate
If i felt pain he knows there is something wrong
Running to me winning and telling me
I am here where i belong
opening my eyes so i can see
doing what all that i can do
When there is excitement in my life he gets jealous and wants too join
or talking on the phone he wants to talk too
He doesn't understand when he's sitting alone
He feels the same way i do
He shows me we all have ways to feel
I taught him with the sound of music we can dance
He jumps on me wanting to do the two step
he looks at me with that first glance
as i show him with help
It's just a matter of time when he dances better then i can
He's more then a companion and a friend he's like part of the family
A brother i once knew
That's how much he means to me
I would do anything for too
Even at supper time i would feel better if he had meal
Weather he's sleeping in the living room or on my bed
Or taking time to get to know who walks through our door
he's always welcome where i go or petting him on the top of his head
teaching me a lesson or even more
he will always be more then a friend

While I was blissfully napping,
From outside came a horrible yapping.

His eyes were glazed and full of sorrow,
