Dangers of retail therapy

in the clearance rack or shelf, I found it crucial to buy. It fed my designer addiction and stabilized my hunger for status. The most important part was that it secured my position as a fashion fanatic, a worthy title any aspiring It-girl will spend to obtain.

Spend to the point that she will hover on the brink of bankruptcy in all her designer glory. Yes, spending like a sailor on leave is not always a party, nor is it anything to inspire pride.

I am trying desperately to pull in the reins on my spending. I have joined online coupon clubs and have stick to making lists for stuff that I really do need, like feminine hygiene products and underwear.

In my opinion, having too much underwear is not possible as females need as much variety and coverage as possible in this department! As long you can find essentials on sale it is perfectly safe.

Thinking back, I find that shopping was a mindless escape from my problems. Now I have my writing to achieve that. I can write about a variety of products: makeup, beauty tools, jewelry, shoes, purses, etc. I don't think I would ever get tired of sharing my shopping experiences with others. My mission is to help others from falling into the fashion furnace.

So now, instead of finding an excuse to shop, I am constantly going through my inventory to see what I can give away to free up space. The thrift store and my sister have benefited greatly. I am happy that my purchases can be of use to those who are not able to splurge.

My personal Wizard is always available 24/7, reminding me how retail therapy isn't a healthy form of release. I have since then hid my "passport" to Emerald City as to cease the temptation to wear out the strip on my credit card. This Dorothy has found her way home with both her sanity and financial security under control.
