LGB model trains have the easiest assembly than any other model train out there today. LGB is the big train that is weather resistant and easy to keep outside due to its weather resistant protection. There are lots of pieces to put together, over 600 pieces. LGB's are also some of the easiest train models to put together. Kids can put together a format of trains all on their own without any help.
LGB model trains are so popular among collectors that there are websites that allow collectors to communicate with each other. There are tours given to experience the LGB factory, see some of the best layouts of the LGB, and even take a ride on some of the real life railways.
Did you know there were LGB clubs for the avid collector? There's listing on various websites and LGB model train magazines. This gathers collectors together to show off their collections. You can even join seminars that show how you can create the best designs for your collections. In the latter 90's the largest convention was given for LGB train collectors in America.
LGB trains were originated in Germany in 1910. The man who created these trains was Ernst Paul Lehmann who was an inventor. By the mid 80's the LGB were being made in America in California. This started up a large habit of collecting for the garden trains. By the mid 90's the LGB multi-train system was developed. This is where two trains are able to operate on one track.
There are several catalogs available for the LGB collector. There's the EMEK truck catalog, Brawa G Catalog, and Piko-G catalog. These catalogs give you plenty of information regarding all LGB products that go along with the trains as well as how to order them.
There are many train stores that sell LGB trains. You can find them online too. Check out a website that offers locaters to various stores and train stops that will sell the LGB. There's a website livingdesert.org that shows where the next exhibit will be along with tours. This is kind of cool because this gives a chance for many collectors to gather and see what the latest models are and how to put them together.
