Best luxury hotels in New York City

Luxury is an important part of any stay in the Big Apple. Luckily that luxury comes at a variety of price points. You can pay a fortune if you can afford it but you don't have to. Here are a few options for the ultimate in New York City luxury.

St. Regis Hotel

Two East 55th Street

Phone: (212) 753-4500

When price is no object the St Regis Hotel is an absolute stunner. This 1904 Beaux Arts building couldn't be in a better location overlooking 5th Avenue. A new restaurant Adour with chef Alain Ducasse opened in 2008 placing the St. Regis in a class above the rest of the hotels in New York.

What can you expect for your buck? 24 hour butler services, an on site florist, a 24 hour business center and the ultimate bath menu. Bath menu you ask, yes bath menu, soak in your tub while drinking Krug Champagne , eating chocolates from La Maison du Chocolate and feasting on caviar. This is the total luxury package.

If you feel the need to hit the spa after your bathtub indulgence then the Remede Spa is prepared to offer body treatments. Massage and skin care.

The rooms come in several categories the least expensive being the superior. All rooms have marble baths with separate showers, silk wall coverings and custom made furniture. The room size for the superior is 430 square feet. Standard room amenities include bathrobes, Remede bath amenities, feather pillows and feather down comforters. The rooms are plush and very attractive. Attractiveness comes at a price however a superior room runs $695 and a deluxe $745. It is all about location, location, location and of course luxury.

The Benjamin Hotel

125 East 50th Street

212-715-2500

The Benjamin has some really amazing luxury packages. One the BC Package (before children) offers not only a very competitive room rate but also free breakfast for two or free parking and 20% off on any spa service at their spa. The rate quoted was $349 which with the amenities is a great price.

Rooms run from a rather petite 250 sq. ft. to two bedroom suites. It's all a matter of how much you are willing to spend. No matter which room you choose you still get valet parking and you get to choose from the pillow menu which has 10 different choices. If you love down then you will be happy, that is the first thing listed on the menu followed by upper body and then buckwheat. There is something for everyone on that menu.

The hotel features the Affinia Spa where you can get a Swedish dream massage or an aroma stone therapy. You can have your massage
