Top model trains for serious collectors

Having trouble finding good quality model trains for that serious collector in your family? Perhaps you are that serious collector and you cant seem to find the right train set for you. With all the different brands and types these days, it can often be hard to find a good set.
Thats what I'm here for though, first of all ask yourself if the serious collector your talking about is a child or an adult.

Recommendations-

Yes children can be serious collectors too, but I recommend buying them much cheaper sets as they may lose interest in time. Bachmann sets can be great for beginners and serious collectors alike, but if your buying for a adult on the other hand and want to shell out some money, I recommend Ho-Scale train sets by Bachmann! These sets are intended by the use of a serious collector, the Bachmann company entered the game at 1970 and has stayed in there ever since with high quality products for both beginners and serious collectors.

Personally I have to recommend "The Comet", this set is from the Bachmann company and features a 45" x 36" oval layout with power pack. Not to mention a E60CP pulling three Amfleet Coaches all painted in Amtrak's Phase II designs. Another set I have to acknowledge is the "The Orient Express", this set comes with four passenger cars and a steam engine, as well as a 54" x 36" oval track. This set is part of the Bachmanns collectors series which includes the French TGV, Flying Scot, The Prussia, The John Bull, and The DeWitt Clinton.

Of course I highly recommend the other sets in the Bachman collectors series, "The Flying Scot" features 4 passenger cars and of course a steam engine. One set that I favor that isn't on the list though is the M*A*S*H 4077th set, which is of course licensed by 20th century fox. This set featured a 45" x 36" oval track and several buildings and a helipad, jeep, water tank and figures.

Final Thoughts-

Of course I listed these sets based on my personal beliefs, but these sets should impress even the most serious collectors. Try checking out your local toy stores or hobby shops, you never know what you may find. I wish you luck on your adventure! Have fun.
