I have two incidences I would like to share. The preventing of them is quite basic and there was no call for them to happen. My daughter is one of the worse people to experience road rage. I mean she goes off sometimes at the stupidest things. She comes by it naturally though, I myself am almost as bad.
The two incidences concern both her and I as we were both a part of it. Nothing came of them and no one got hurt because we aren't the type to get physical with people. So here we go.
Picture a highway. Picture a red light. Three lanes, a slow lane, a fast lane, and a turning lane. I'm driving in the fast lane and approach a red light. There's a pickup truck in front of me. She remains in the fast lane and we all come to a stop. Suddenly she hits her left blinker. She's decided she wants to turn left. There is no light for left hand turns.
So the light turns green. The slow lane proceeds forward and the fast lane doesn't move. Why? Because this lady is having to wait on the on coming traffic to clear. So there we sit, waiting. After a few seconds we begin to hear horns being blown from people behind us. This lady remains right where she is because the on coming traffic simply isn't letting up.
My daughter begins to spout off, then I begin to. I got so irritated with this lady that I had to laugh. I told my daughter jokingly to get my 22 pistol out of the glove box and shoot her back windshield. She looked at me with wide eyes and when she realized I was joking she too began to laugh.
Prevention- decide before you get to the light that you want to make a turn and get into the turning lane. If you can't do that then pull up and over enough to allow traffic behind you to move on through. Other people besides you have places to go. We finally got to move. She finally made the turn and myself and the car behind me got through before the light turned red again. Everyone else had to wait through another light.
The second incident I'm not sure is road rage. It's more parking lot rage. Picture a row of cars parked in a parking lot at a store. At the end of this row of cars are yellow lines instead of a median. They are suppose to be drivin around, not through.
My daughter and I and my grand-daughter were leaving one of the stores. We checked traffic and proceeded to cross over to the parked cars and the row in which we were parked. It was night time. All of the sudden this pickup truck comes out of nowhere, across those yellow lines
