Prayer for Thanksgiving

We thank Thee, Lord, for another year.
As we seek our reasons for being here;
We ask for pure thoughts.
As we seek forgiveness of our sins
And embrace the chance to make amends,
With pure thoughts,
Father grant us clarity
So that we may see
With pure eyes.
Beyond forever,
Forsaking Thee never.
With pure eyes;
May we but, glimpse the holy light.
And eschew the darkness with all our might,
With pure eyes,
Removing the blinders of race and creed
To satisfy the hunger of human need.
Give us pure minds,
To know that we are all the same
We just call You by a different name.
With pure minds,
Father, if only we could reason,
Through every Earthly season,
With pure minds.
That it is not in the ritual.
But always in the spiritual
Of pure minds.
And it's in the temple of our own souls;
That your Divine presence unfolds
Through pure hearts.
Father teach us to accept and give love
And steadfastly seek guidance from above
With pure hearts.
We thank you Father for everything.
For Thou art the King of kings.
And with pure souls,
We'll come to dwell with Thee
In Blessed Trinity.
Amen.
