Las Vegas is the Mecca of weddings, with over 110,000 couples getting hitched in 2006. It's not only easy getting married here, but no where else offers so many different options from down and dirty to devilishly elegant. Sin City also offers the milieu for a dazzling honeymoon, also. Here is your guide to the best wedding chapels in Las Vegas:
Little White Chapel: Possibly the most famous wedding chapel in the world is the Little White Chapel (1301 Las Vegas Blvd, 702-382 5943, www.alittlewhite chapel.com), owned by Charolette Richards, dubbed the Wedding Queen of the West. In her time, she has married celebs including Joan Collins, Patty Duke and Bruce Willis. The Little White Chapel is actually an empire of wedded bliss: A Little White Chapel; the Drive-Up Wedding Window; A Little White Chapel in the Sky (for balloon weddings); the We've Only Just Begun Wedding Chapel in the Imperial Palace Hotel; the Chapel by the Courthouse; the Tunnel of Love (drive-through chapel at A Little White Chapel on the Strip); and the Speedway to Love Wedding Chapel for those wishing to get married at the Speedway.
Canterbury Wedding Chapel: This is at the Excalibur, in a lovely gazebo. Here a renewal wedding package costs $250 for the ceremony, music, one red rose, photo and bottle of champagne, while the wedding packages go from $395 to $1,575 if you want to include the knights in shining armor; the latter includes room, dinner and breakfast.
Island Wedding Chapel: Packages here at the Tropicana start at $399 for the Aloha package and rise to $3,499 for the Blue Hawaii, which includes a five-night stay at the hotel.
Flamingo Garden Chapel: Ceremonies here go from $425 to $3,895, the latter including a mini-suite for one night, pianist at the ceremony, breakfast in bed, dinner and tickets for the cocktail performance of the Rockettes.
A Viva Las Vegas Wedding arranges an extraordinary number of differently themed weddings from Star Trek to Elvis and rock 'n' roll.
Intergalactic: Your special day is presided over by Captain James T Quirk or Captain Schpock in the Starship Chapel, surrounded by life-size cut-outs of your favourite characters. The package comes with a Minister Transporter, an illusion entrance, theatrical lighting and lots of fog for $700.
Rock 'n' Roll Chapel: This is all about rock 'n' roll, complete with memorabilia and an electric guitar version of the Wedding March, while a rock star impersonator will sing during the ceremony for $650.
Camelot: The Camelot theme
