Size:

Culture:

In recent years, tourists have been crowding there with their style of life and cultures, but the residents there still keep their religion cultural events, very active. In Indonesia, the major part area has the belief of Islam, but here the main religious belief is Hinduism (Agama Hindu Dharma). Bali has 3,000,000 populations, and the major part is composed of many families.

@ Mother Temple

Mother Temple was built on the slope of Mount Agung, 1,000 meters above the sea level, in 11th century. The temple survived an eruption of a volcano, which made it a play with mystery. Whey you pay a visit to Besakih, you should go there. It is a place for the local people to get blessings. Mother Temple, also known as Besakih Temple, is actually a group of temples. Since it is a place much commercialized nowadays, the best time to pay a visit to the temple is in the morning or at night, when the temple is relatively empty, so that you can enjoy it better.

@ Ubud

Ubud is a place for culture and arts. It has been made famous by some German artists who lived there in 1930s. You can see many galleries and museums there. It is a tour for arts. If it is to your taste, you will enjoy yourself there.

@ Monkey Forest

When you are on Bali Island, you may pay a visit to the holy Money Forest near Sangeh. Not far from there, you can also pay visits to two famous temples, if you like.
