Increasing your chances of pregnancy

In my experience the best tip for getting pregnant is tracking your monthly cycle using your body temperature.

My husband and I had tried to conceive for a few years and were very discouraged each month when my cycle would come, evidence of not having conceived yet again. We were told about the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". This book aides each woman to chart their monthly cycle using nothing but a basal thermometer, a chart and your own body.

A Basal Thermometer is vital purchase if you are planning on charting your basal body temperature (BBT) using the methods in this book. The Basal Thermometer is designed specifically to record your temperature fluctuations with relation to your ovulation cycle. Being able to record and identify this time is crucial in being able to plan the timing of sexual intercourse which results in conception.

Taking Charge of Your Fertility (the book) is easy to read and understand. Thus making it easy to apply the simple techniques of temperature reading and charting and most of all chart interpretation. The book is fully illustrated with eight pages of color graphics and examples of the charts that you an use or copy and provides a door for you to walk through and gain a full understanding of your reproductive system.

Chart interpretation is crucial for you to know and understand to be able to know when you and your partner should be having sexual intercourse.

By reading this book I was able to understand it within minutes and upon completion of it I had a thorough understanding of the method and how to apply it.

Some of the best features of this method is that it is a 100% natural method, no chemicals or devices and it is quick in identifying impediments to achieving pregnancy.

For instance have you heard of having an anovulatory cycle? An anovulatory cycle is a menstrual cycle in which ovulation fails to occur. This means that you do bleed but do not release an egg or ovulate. Hence the term anovulation. This is normally supposed to happen during menopause. If it does happen before then anovulation translates into difficulty in conception or infertility. Anovulatory cycles tend to occur occasionally throughout the childbearing years, but are most common during adolescence and in the years before menopause.

I was having annovulatory cycles every other month, something I would never have known if it were not for "Taking Charge of Your Fertility".

Once I began using this method my husband and I conceived our son on month 5 despite 3 months of annovulatory cycles. After having our first son we then used the methods in "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" for a natural birth control. We knew that those days I would be fertile and ready to conceive were the days we either needed to abstain from sexual intercourse or other birth control methods such as condoms. When we were ready to add our second son to our family we again applied the principles and were able to conceive our first month of trying.

In addition to the book you can purchase software to load onto your computer to track your cycle and have it help you interpret the results.

Overall I think this is the best method for easy conception especially considering the understanding of your body that comes with it.
