Mice are the most used animals in medical research, together with guinea pigs; then, also dogs are employed, although in minor number, because they are bigger and less "comfortable" to use.
Moreover, cats, monkeys, rabbits are other victims of these laboratories of the horror.
But the title given to this topic is partial, because, about vivisection, the moral and scientific problems created about mice or dogs use in these studies are the same, despite dogs are our favourite pets and their torture and killing in a laboratory impresses much public opinion than that of mice.
Instead, in my opinion, there're not series-A and series-B animals and the useless cruelty made on them with vivisection is to be considered in the same manner, whatever is the animal species involved.
So, I write this article referring to all animals used for medical research, without any difference among dogs, mice, cats and other species.
All these species are used as animal models to predict the behaviour of medical drugs and other chemicals in human organism regarding their effectiveness against diseases and their toxicity level.
Just this is, in my opinion, the main moral argument against this practice of vivisection (so called because performed by means of surgery and other invasive treatments on alive animals) because all these animals are NOT models of the human body and every research made on animals is not scientific but a FAKE and it must be condemned and abandoned as soon as possible, for a better future of science and of the whole mankind.
Vivisection deceives who practices it and the public opinion, as patients and consumers, about the effectiveness of medical drugs tested in this way;
they want to make us believe that these drugs are reliable and that there's no alternative for not killing humans, but these are all LIES.
Many independent and clinical researches on the real medical drugs behaviour have already showed that every animal species has its specific reactions to chemicals, with very variable doses to have toxic effects and death and different toxic effects.
So, the first consequence is that you can show something or its contrary, simply using a species at the place of another in laboratory.
Vivisection, even before being a torture and a massacre for animals, produces false medical drugs for us that can't cure anything and are harmful for our health in the short and long term, with many side-effects that animals can't show.
So, many medical drugs have already been withdrawn from
