Scuba Diving is the ability to swim underwater while using self-contained breathing equipment which allows you to go deep and to stay underwater for longer periods of time. Here are a few careers that involve scuba diving.
1. Scuba Diving Instructor
This person knows how to dive and has taken all of the required classes to be a licensed diving instructor. As a diving instructor, you will teach the fundamentals (history, and written instructions) and actual in the water lessons.
2. Professional Deep Tech Instructor
This person is able to teach about gas blending, theory associated with safe staged decompression, the use of mixed gases, and everything needed for a safer, longer, deeper, bottom time.
3. Professional Rebreather Instructor
This instructor with be able to teach the diver how to use this new equipment. The rebreather is lighter and quieter than the open-circuit scuba.
4. Professional Divemaster
This person is trained and masters the medical aspect of diving, the equipment,diving physics, decompression, environmental issues, and also learns how to lead deep wreck dives,night dives, and shallow and deep reef dives.
5. Professional Boatmaster
This person has been trained and has mastered every aspect and technique for operating a boat.
6. Diving Accident Response Technician(DART)
This person is the first responder to a diving accident. This person will be trained has a EMT just for diving.
7. Offshore Diving
These divers work within the oil and gas industries.
8. Inland and Inshore Diving
These divers work within the fish farming industry.
9. Media Diving
These divers work as presenters, stunt performers, photographers,or sound and lighting technicians.
10.Recreational Diving
These divers are involved in instructing and guiding divers for fun.
11. Oceanographer
This person studies the ocean, the plants in the ocean, and the animals that live in the ocean.
12. Police and Military Diving
This person will partake in search and rescue diving.
13. Diving Resorts and Vacation Spots Tour Guide
Pleasure, Leisure, and Sport
14. Diving Equipment Repair
15. Underwater Digital Photography
16. Underwater Digital Videography
17. Division of Environmental Protection
18. Marine Biologist
19. Marine Scientist
20. Marine Salvage Career
21. Public Aquarium Maintenance
22. Boat and Ship Inspection, Cleaning, and Maintenance
