Getting started with Google's Gmail

is a 50 photo limit per album though, so if you have A LOT of photos, I would recommend something else.

Gmail Drive + Gmail - Gmail Drive is a shell extension that maps your Gmail account to your computer, basically letting Gmail appear like an other harddrive in "My Computer". It lets you log in to more than one account (one at a time). If you then visit that Gmail account in a web browser, the files will show up as normal emails, one per file. Since some file formats cannot be sent in Gmail, it renames them. For instance, "Game.exe" would be renamed to "Game.exe_renamed", so you'd have to fix the file extension upon download of the file. Also, since you can link more than one Gmail account together, you have two choices for how the "backup" files are organized:

a) Make a filter that moves the files into a folder (so they don't clutter your inbox)
b) Link 2 or more Gmail accounts together, dedicating one or more entirely to your "backups".

Note: Gmail has a 20MB per file limit, so each file cannot be larger than that. Multiple computers can connect to one Gmail account thus allowing GMail Drive to act as a multi-user file server. Also, GMailFS essentially does the same thing as Gmail Drive, but supports all 3 platforms (mostly Mac).

The possibilites are endless. There are also tons of browser extentions for Firefox and other browsers that allow you to extend Gmail's functionality, whether it be Remember The Milk (adds a to-do list with mobile/email alerts)or Gmail Skins (themes). So even if you don't plan on using Gmail as your primary email service, it's useful for just about anything. I hope you've enjoyed my article. Remember, these are just samples of what you can do. There are TONS more.

PS: There is no limit on how many Gmail accounts you can have *hint hint
