I believe that there is such a thing as emotional cheating. There is an important factor in every relationship and that is trust. When you feel robbed of a bond that you know is there in a relationship like the little things telling your significant other that you love them and appreciate them, that is emotional cheating. There are a lot of people out there that are not capable of giving those little things in relationships. Then there are the others who just are unwilling to give and let that bond be shared.

From a woman's point of view, I know personally that there is no stronger bond than love. It is very difficult when you are with a person that expects you to be there for them when they are at their lowest. What happens to you when this is not returned? You feel unloved and unwanted. This causes you to put up a defensive barrier against the emotions that are crushing your heart. When you need that person and they tell you that you are being suffocating and they need their space you feel lower than dirt. You give one hundred percent of your heart and soul only to get ten in return.

I know that there are men out there who feel the same way, but women are wired different. Our emotions are our strengths and weaknesses. When we love, we love completely. And when we are hurt by that love, the trust that we once had goes out the window. Emotional cheating to me means that the little things that I need most are not being fulfilled. This leaves a void, an empty space, surging through our heart and our heads. Women like flowers, cards, a loving glance, a caressing smile, a hug at the end of the day or just a simple thank you for the things that she has given. It is hard enough being a woman without the feeling of being cheated and robbed of the little things.

Feeling cheated and robbed makes us wonder who is receiving the things that we are not. Even when we are told that we are imagining things, we are not so sure. Women are very complex creatures and let's face it, men do not have a clue as to what we really need to maintain that bond of love and trust.
