Poetry: Fat and happy

Once I could touch my toes
With a simple unforced bow
Size 30 pants and cheekbones
Are just a memory to me now

My six pack abs are now a keg
Fine fashion passed me by
But none of this makes me sad
And I will tell you why

The psycho diets, the protein shakes
Each new clensing ritual
The longing, craving of sweets and breads
That have long become habitual

I see them sweat, and then abstain
And push on a lonely mile
They see me sit, they see me eat
They always see me smile

Because I spend my time the best I can
My kids think I look just fine
While you're burning off those last two pounds
I'm having a better time

In closing I will say there's better things to do
And I look good to me
Waste your time and I will stay
Fat and happy
