Self-forgiveness key to inner peace

Self-forgiveness is the key to inner peace and good health. If you can't love yourself as God loves you, then you can't love others, which is the message of Christ: Love one another. It took me a long time to realize that my health and happiness comes from the Lord, but I must accept it. I know that sounds simple, but it isn't. If you are sick, look inwardly. If you are not at peace with yourself, you run the risk of all kinds of illness and disease.

All is Well

Inner peace is knowing that all is well in the universe; God is good and He is in charge of all things. If you harbor ill-will toward yourself because of a past sin, you can never know this peace. You must realize and accept that God loves you and wants the best for your life. He does not want anyone to wallow in guilt. That is the reason Jesus came into the world: to have our sins purged through his sacrifice. Yes! He did that for you and everyone else on Earth. Accept this fact and live a life of peace.

Guilt and Pain

Peace that surpasses all understanding comes when one forgives others of their sins as Christ forgave us for ours. Many find it easy to do this, but for some reason we think that God cannot forgive us. Our sins are too many, too awful! Not true! I am a walking testimony that bottling these sins within are harmful. I have struggled with fibromyalgia for years because I could not forgive myself for certain sins of the past. Until I got rid of my guilt, I could not rid myself of the pains that inhabited my muscles.

Salvation is Free

That past haunted me for years in spite of my good works for God. I had not let the message of salvation sink into my own heart. I could forgive others, but not myself. Inner peace was something I couldn't feel. Until...until I came to the realization that God loved me no matter what I did in the past. He has forgiven and forgotten the sin. It is I who has not forgiven myself. Now I see the truth. Man cannot live a blessed and worthwhile life while holding onto guilt. God knows this about humans. That is why the message of the Gospel is so relevant today.

Belief is first step

Today millions still walk the earth thinking they are unworthy of love and peace and joy. This lie is from Satan, who wants us to feel inferior and sick in our sins. God gives this inner peace freely. All one needs for this free inner peace is to believe. Scholars, scientists, philosophers, teachers, preachers, nurses, blue-collar workers, school children, and toddlers all come to believe at some time in life. Many wait until their death beds; but many believe it because something happens to the body and mind when they first believe. They become whole and well; they feel the power of God at work in their lives.

Resurrection Sunday

In conclusion, within the next two weeks, many will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, the Christ. No other man in all of history has affected mankind like he has. If you don't know him, ask someone who does. Go to an Easter program at a local church. Open your minds and your souls and receive this inner peace that comes from knowing HIM.
