So now that you have your new iPod, do you know how to use it? This is the case with many people who have just got a new iPod. There are four easy steps to follow to get your iPod all set up so you can listen to your favorite songs. Something that you should keep in mind is that the Apple website, www.apple.com , can answer many of your questions. One other thing to remember is that when you plug your iPod into your computer it can fix many things as well.
Step One:
First of all you need to download iTunes. To do this you need to go to www.apple.com/ipod/downloads/ . Once here you will follow the step-by-step instructions and Apple will lead you through it. Some days are better than others for downloading iTunes because of the number of people downloading will effect the speed of the download. For example the week after Christmas (December 25 to January 1) is the worst time to download because so many people get iPods for Christmas and set it up right away. It's better to wait until it's all settled down but everyone knows how exciting it is to get a new iPod and it's understandable for people not to want to wait!
Step Two:
Now you have to set up your iPod. For this the "Setup Assistant" will come up on the screen if you haven't already had an iPod setup on your computer. If this is the case just plug your iPod into the computer and then it will come up. Follow the instructions.
Step Three:
For the third step you get to put your songs onto your iPod. Don't let your huge CD collection be a burden for you. If you look at it that way your music won't be fun anymore. To upload your Cd's onto your iTunes all you have to do is put the CD in the disk drive of your computer and click the import button. Using the iTunes Store you can get songs off the Internet. Happy adding!
Step Four:
Now for the final and best part! You need to disconnect you iPod from your computer. Then listen to your favorite songs on your new iPod!
Enjoy your new iPod! If you have any questions or concerns you can always go to the Apple website, www.apple.com , for help. Hopefully you won't ever have any problems with your iPod but you never know. Better safe than sorry!
