What are your favorite movie quotes of all time

There are certain movie quotes that captured the meaning of their respective films so well, I could not forget them. These quotes were beautifully written and spoken in their movies. Here are a few of my favorite movie quotes of all time.

-"Castaway"- Chuck Noland (Tom Hanks):"...And all my logic said that I would never see this place again. So that's what I did. I stayed alive. I kept breathing. And one day my logic was proven all wrong because the tide came in, and gave me a sail. And now, here I am. I'm back. In Memphis, talking to you. I have ice in my glass... And I've lost her all over again. I'm so sad that I don't have Kelly. But I'm so grateful that she was with me on that island. And I know what I have to do now. I gotta keep breathing. Because tomorrow the sun will rise. Who knows what the tide could bring?"

*This quote was delivered perfectly by Tom Hanks as his character Chuck was sitting with an old friend by a fire. He was recalling his experience of being stranded on a deserted island for four years, away from his life, love, and familiar world. The events leading to this quote and it's tone in the movie made it very memorable to me. The movie as a whole was a very underrated performance by Hanks.

-"American Beauty"- Lester Burnham (Kevin Spacey) "...I had always heard your entire life flashes in front of your eyes the second before you die. First of all, that one second isn't a second at all, it stretches on forever, like an ocean of time... For me, it was lying on my back at Boy Scout camp, watching falling stars... And yellow leaves, from the maple trees, that lined my street... Or my grandmother's hands, and the way her skin seemed like paper... And the first time I saw my cousin Tony's brand new Firebird... And Janie... And Janie... And... Carolyn. I guess I could be pretty pissed off about what happened to me... but it's hard to stay mad, when there's so much beauty in the world."

*Again, another brilliant job by a great actor and great script writers. This quote is a voice-over read by Kevin Spacey (as Lester Burnham) at the end of American Beauty right after his character dies. The quote is bitter-sweet and almost poetic. A great quote from one of my favorite films.

-"The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford"- Narrator: "...Rooms seemed hotter when he was in them. Rains fell straighter. Clocks slowed. Sounds were amplified. He considered himself a Southern loyalist and guerrilla in a Civil War that never ended. He regretted neither his robberies, nor the seventeen murders that he laid claim to. He had seen another summer under in Kansas City, Missouri and on September 5th in the year 1881, he was thirty-four-years-old."

*This is only an excerpt from one of my all-time favorite monologues in a movie. The narrator opens the movie with this excellent quote. The descriptions, the flow of the lines, and the tone in which it is read are captivating to me. These lines paint a perfect portrait of the infamous outlaw Jesse James. This is not my favorite film by any means, but perhaps my favorite quote!
