Poetry: Thanksgiving

Attitude of Thanksgiving

I'm tired and weary -
can barely lift my head
but I thank God for my life
and my warm, cozy bed.

My body is hurting -
so tender to touch
but I thank God I can move
without using a crutch.

I'm tired after working
through the long day
but I'm thankful for my job-
I've come a long way.

I'm mentally drained.
There's just so much to do
but I thank God for my girls -
who hold me together, like glue.

I'm a frustrated writer
who gets little time to write
but I love moments like these -
wish I could stay up all night!

I'm thinking about tomorrow -
the challenges it'll bring
then I peek at my daughters
and my heart starts to sing.

And, so, here I sit.
Now, I'm thinking of you.
Like me, you have blessings
and your faith can renew.
