Does the Internet encourage cheating

I feel that the Internet does encourage cheating because there are so many avenues a person can go to. I am not married but my boyfriend of five years got caught with almost six personal ads on the Internet. How he got caught was because of his own stupidity not to cover his tracks. You don't realize how much it hurts until it actually happens to you.

The day he got caught, he said to me that this is an old personal ad, but they give you the dates as to when that person was active, plus it had a recent picture oh him standing in front of my current car. Than I found another ad on another website that same night, than another one a few days later, than a friend found one and it was just a vicious circle of deception. Do you know what his answer was when i confronted him, I pushed him to it and the conversation was good. Well, you know it wasn't just the conversation, it was the cyber sex and sharing photos with another person that I would consider cheating. It's an unfaithful act to a person you talk to everyday and tell them that you love.

Cheating is so easy these day, that the Internet is the number place to start with, because you are not actually meeting a person but fulling a fantasy of being with another person and having a sexually encounter that doesn't actually get physical. It's a mental state of mind and an ego booster that for any person, can make you feel better about yourself.

The Internet offers all these different websites, that you can get anything from harmless conversation to sexual encounters on-line. After I caught my boyfriend with these ads, I wanted to see what the allure of having cyber sex was all about, and you know what I found a lot of the guys are older men who are unhappy in there relationships with there partners that it is a thrill to get it else where. Not to say that women are any better, because there are just about as many of them on the Internet as there are men. I didn't find it arousing or intriguing because you are not getting that same feeling when are with a person physically.

In my opinion, if you are unhappy in a relationship, no matter if it's marriage or long term, you should be honest with them and yourself. Don't be deceitfully, because it's not fair to you or the other person. If you are commited anything can be worked out or just end it.
