How to get free videos for your iPod

So you want to get some free videos on your iPod? Well I have three rather simple solutions to this. One is that you download some videos in iPod format using a program like BearShare, LimeWire, or BitComet. However be aware that BitComet only manages torrent downloads and that you would have to use a torrent tracking site like thepiratebay.org and torrentbox.com, there are many other torrent sites, all you have to do is go to the Google search engine (or any search engine for that matter) and type in "torrent sites".

Another method of getting free video for your iPod (YouTube videos only unfortunately) is by using the website www.converttube.com. All you need to do hear is have the web address for the video you want (if you don't know how to get that, it is in the address bar near the to of your browser window and generally it begins with "http://" simply highlight the entire address and right-click then select copy (or use you keyboard and hold "CTRL" and hit the "C" key (for window users, MAC uses Command and the "C" key))). Once you have the web address for the video simply right-click and paste (or "CTRL" plus the "V" key (MAC users it is the Command and the "V" key)) into the box labeled "URL". After that be sure that you checked the "iPod/PSP/iPhone" conversion selection, it says ".mp4" in parenthesis beside it. Then what you will have to do is hit the "convert and download" button located at the bottom. When the site finishes converting the file it will then prompt you to begin downloading the video by clicking the download button. Then just import the video into iTunes (once it finishes downloading) and upload it into your iPod.

The last (but certainly not least) way of getting videos for your iPod is by using a program called Videora iPod Converter. The program is perfectly free and doesn't leave a nasty watermark in the converted video. Granted that I've only used the program once for a movie that I had on my computer, using the program is pretty simple. First things first, download and install the program. The first time you run the program it will prompt you to select your iPod type (do so now, don't know what type of iPod you have? Easy, the program give you pictures). Now that is completed, click the convert button at the top and go to the "Video File" tab that is now located underneath the convert button. It will ask you to select your user mode "Normal Mode" for people who have no idea what an "MPEG-4" is or what "kbps" has to do with anything. Then there is the "power mode" for people who know a lot about the two terms I just listed. Lets say you go to normal mode. It then gives directions how how to select the file on your computer, select where you want the converted file to appear, and change certain video settings like size, quality, and file format. If you chose power user, the there is no need for me to tell you have to use the options you find before you.

These are the only three ways I know that will get you free videos for your iPod. Remember that some videos if used in the "free" version of a video converter that has a version that you must purchase will more than likely have a enormous watermark in it. Also downloading music and movies is illegal in the United States unless they are paid for (and unless it is from another country and is not coming to America because the American Recording Arts Association has no hold over it).
