Swans upon the lake of glass
gliding in their silence past.
Gazebo lends a regal air
and I sweep upon its stair.
Blossoms fill the open tent
with their cherry blossom scent.
Tranquility in nature's breast,
pulling me to sit and rest.
Rays of sun adorn the bench,
songs of birds my anger quench.
You should be here at my side,
But over there you must reside.
Saving them from themselves;
our lives are put upon the shelves.
Risking life, or losing limbs,
at some sick terrorist's whim.
Come home, my love, in one piece,
so my fears will gain surcease.
My love will wait forever, dear,
for any chance to have you near.
