flesh, Son of God who was sent in the likenes of sinful flesh, to bear the condemnation we all deserve.
In such God give us the path for salvation, how do we saved? By receive Christ in our life, to be joined with Christ, that our flesh should die, in joined with Jesus death, but the Spirit that raised Him may raised us too, that if the Spirit dwell in us.
Rome 8:4-11,
"That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."
It is an interesting fact to note that Paul wrote in Ephesians 5:22-32, concerning how a husband should treat his wife and how a wife should treat her husband, end the advise saying, "For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church. For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church."
Man and woman joined and no longer concern as two but one, as such Jesus and His church are joined and no longer considered as two but one. In such light, we could see how great God's love for us, when Jesus speak about divorce in Matthew 19:6, He said, "Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."
How much Jesus think about us, His church when He said these.
So is that means that the laws should not be kept anymore? Not exactly, we no longer live under the law, yet we live in the Spirit and lead by the Spirit and as we know the law is Spiritual. Therefore by living after the Spirit, we will automatically live according to the law. We should read the law and learn the law, but not in expectation that we should saved by working the law. But in love to God, we're trying to learn more about Him by studying His law. That with the Holy Spirit guide us, we may live closer to Him, that His law may edify our life and direct our walk.
As John the apostle said, "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked."
