usually broached in a half-joking manner, based on the reactions one or the other might have received from a newly met neighbor. Her discomfort with how we might appear is sometimes evident. Yet, she knows my heart and my feelings toward her and so we travel along, laughing at the world.

I want to convey the value of this to my male peers and to also ask those females in the expected age range for me to understand their value is wholly different than what I am about to describe. For the man who finds himself bouncing from one relationship to the next, always searching for something more than a party girl or one who fits the arm candy model, an older woman may be just who you are looking for.

The woman you seek is confident, having grown past the years of being trendy and discovering the years of timelessness on the other side. She knows her mind and her heart, yet still has a single teardrop shaped crystal of girlish innocence which will only be shown to you in the most intimate times. She will fight you, disagree with you, even subdue you at times yet she still values the feeling of strong arms to hold her up in the times she needs you most.

For the man of intellect, she has probably read more books than you. For the sportsman, she has seen the fancy tricks, witnessed the showing off, and is only as impressed as you need her to be in front of your friends. To the fraternity guy, she will be your single most regretted loss after she has used you for the same thing you thought you were using her to gain. In short, she is the perfect match for a man looking for his equal rather than what he is expected to find among his peers.

Yet, there are some caveats to this type of relationship. You must be prepared for the reaction of your friends, especially those who are the most vocal about women and relationships. They will invent new teases and remarks, given how different your relationship is from the ones in which they are each involved. The single most important thing to remember is whatever teasing you receive, it is entirely based upon either jealousy or curiosity around your relationship. It is also important to remember most of your friends will either sleep alone tonight or with someone who has a fraction of the time spent in the bedroom, perfecting skills your older woman wields with the confidence of a professional athlete.

You must also be prepared for the reaction of your family members. A serious and, hopefully, long-term relationship with an older woman most
