As long as people will be on this planet I can't see how McDonald's or Burgher King would be on the way out. They are both too big symbols of our country and stating they are on the way out is like stating that corn on the cob and apple pie are going to be banned.

Fast food chains are here to stay either you love them to death or you hate them. There can be mad cow disease, major obesity issues, or the latest vegetarian trend but these fast food companies stay strong because it has its fans. And plenty of them...

Studies have demonstrated that when children were asked they actually were able to recognize the McDonald's bright yellow 'M" icon at a very young age.

Ask a child about their best place to eat out. Very likely they will smile and they will name a famous fast food restaurant.

With the 21 st century's medical break throughs and alerts on the dangers of modern diets, new menus were developed by fast food chains to cater those with caloric intake concerns and those seeking lower fat contents.

Salads, fruit cups, yogurt were added to their menus as a healthy alternative.

Also, calorie and fat contents of their menus were printed on little brochures as an FYI for those concerned.

This has helped diminish fast food chain's bad reputations about being unhealthy.
These chains have turned inside out the responsibility for eating healthy from the producer to the consumer.

People can no longer say these chains are causing heart attacks and killing, rather, people now have the option to choose what and how much they want to eat.

Fast food chains have become a great convenience and we can no longer live without them.

They have spread outside our country almost in every city and have made many children smile.

People may not speak our language but show them the icons of our fast food chains and they will understand you.

Nothing really beats crisp warm french fries and a juicy hamburger on a soft bun.

Their prices are pretty unbeatable as well, you can easily eat a good meal for under 5$.

Drive troughs are a fast, effortless way to dine without the hassle of having to stand in long lines during lunch rush time.

Reality is that fast food chains have been with us for a long time and are too much of a convenience to be on the way out. Just imagine the sorrow if one day the news announced all McDonalds and Burgher Kings were closed for good.

Are you on the run? There's a ready meal for you. Are your kid's down the dumps? There is a happy meal to make them smile (toy included!). Need to wake up? Get a good coffee with a biscuit. There are too many pro's than cons. And most importantly: their food tastes great and "We're loving it"!
