Reasons Why Our Health-care System Is Such A Mess!

Here comes a car sputtering down the street, backfiring and spewing a trail of thick blue smoke. It doesn't take a second thought to know that it needs repaired. Do you know how to fix it? Probably not, unless you are an expert mechanic. Even if you were, all you could do is give an educated guess as to what was the real problem, while knowing that it would take a session in your garage and many diagnostic tests before you could figure it out. This metaphor is exactly the situation we are in with our health- care system!

It's not running right and we have a bunch of "curbside spectators" in Washington telling us what is wrong while leading us to believe that they are the expert mechanics who will solve all the problems,if they can just be allowed to throw enough tax dollars at it! The sad reality is,they're in no better position to solve what is wrong than the average person on the street!

Washington is a Health-care Crisis!

To put Washington in perspective, most of our Congressmen and Senators have never worked in the Health-care field. Most of what they know comes from being briefed by "experts." The problem is, most of the experts don't have any insight or perspective other than their own political agenda. Most Congressional inquiries are a joke. They parade a bunch of hand-picked experts in for questioning knowing beforehand what decisions and positions they will take on any given subject. Most of the decisions that come out of Washington are politically motivated. Our Congress and Senatorial representatives are more interested in preserving their seat in Washington than they are at doing the will of the majority of Americans. The few that aren't are in such a minority that they're powerless. Until there is a major shake-up in the type of representation we have in Washington, there is little that will be done to offer any real solutions other than more talk about Socialized Medicine.

Medicare and Medicaid Are a Health-care Crisis !

Medicare is on the verge of bankruptcy. Money paid into this fund, that was supposed to be untouchable by Congressional leeches, has been sucked out of the coffers for years. There is no surplus! There's not enough money in it to cover the strain " baby boomers" are going to place on it, and there are not enough children being born to make up the deficit when they reach employment age! It's all smoke and mirrors! The only solution Washington will have to cover
